Together they have two precious daughters, Mary Catherine and Eleanor Love (Ella). Stephanie is the broker in charge of McLaughlin Company, a commercial real estate firm in Florence. Her focus is commercial real estate development with a specialty in medical development.
Stephanie earned her BS in Political Science from Presbyterian College and her Masters in Healthcare Administration and Policy from The Medical University of South Carolina. Her relationship with God is the most important thing in her life and she and her family are members of First Presbyterian Church.
Stephanie’s involvement in public service began at an early age when served as a United States Senate page for the late Senator Strom Thurmond. After spending time in Washington, she came home to serve as president of her high school and college Republican clubs. She volunteered on the campaigns of Strom Thurmond, Bob Dole, David Beasley, Carroll Campbell, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Alan Wilson, Henry McMaster, Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint.
In 2009, Stephanie served on the campaign staff for Lt. Governor Ken Ard. In 2010, she served as campaign manager for Rose Mary Parham, candidate for SC 12th Circuit Solicitor. In 2012, she served as Political Director for Congressman Tom Rice. She went on to serve as his Pee Dee Regional Representative until resigning to spend more time with her children, family, her Commercial Real Estate Development Company and Political Consulting businesses.
Stephanie enjoys working with young Republicans and new potential candidates. She is best known in political circles for her ability to organize, her witty candour and frank answers. She has held positions in the Florence County Republican Party which include: State Executive Committeewoman, Candidate Recruitment Chairman, 1st Vice Chairwoman, and Executive Committee Representative for Florence Precinct 14. As one of the founding members and President of the Florence County Republican Women’s Club, Stephanie has enjoyed working with potential female candidates and encouraging their public service experiences.
